Our Home
This is a beautiful antique villa, protected by UNESCO. It is situated in the picturesque Bulgarian village Katunishte, that has kept the typical 18 century architecture throughout. The villa has been furnished accordingly to revive the olden times.
It is great for summer family holidays - me and my family have spent lovely days there.
However in the winter time it can feel very cold as there is no central heating. The big garden gives lots of opportunities for entertaining - you can barbeque, sunbathe and chill. It is so refreshing in the summer nights. There are 3 big bedrooms - 1 double and 5 single beds, a reception room, a kitchen and a bathroom/toilet. The house has a separate guest house with 2 single beds.There is a sleeping area on the balcony as well ( traditional for this kind of architecture) - if you dare! My mum also keeps a small vegetable garden on the back of the house - so you can pick organic onions, carrots, tomatoes and lettuce ( if any are left :)). We have a travel cot as well.
The village is very friendly and small. There are around 20 people living there permanently, but there are a few holiday homes that are inhabited in the summer. With a car you can visit the nearby villages - Jeravna, Kotel, Medven - all of them historic and beautiful. The nature is scenic. If you like longer trips - the seaside is only 100 km ( 60m) away. It is a great feeling to come back to the cool, peaceful house after a day at the beach. Admittedly there are only 2 very small shops selling essentials ( beer is always in stock though! ) and there is no pub or restaurant in the village. However, there is a lovely oasis some 10 km away! The villa is offered on a self catering basis, but we can provide you with food supply on demand and for an additional fee. There is a fridge and a freezer. The kitchen is equipped with basic units, but is clean and tidy. There is an outside kitchen as well, which is our favourite in the summer.
And finally - the house and the village are so romantic and secluded that everybody falls in love with the place.

About Us
We are a loving family of 4. Vess (33) is a structural engineer and I (33) am a Fashion designer. Our kids are great - well behaved, but funloving. Ivo(10) loves juggling, Lydia loves dogs ( she's only 1). We live and work in London, but have a holiday house in Bulgaria, as we are Bulgarian ourselves.
