Beautiful, prestigious 1870's 4 storey, very spacious family 5 bedroom home situated in the historic Highgate area of North London. Approximately 25 minute tube ride to London's West End, Leicester Square etc. The house is packed with period features.
Very large kitchen with Aga, children's play room with TV and computer, formal dining room, 2 very elegant "adult" lounges with TV & computer, 4 very large bedrooms, 1 smaller bedroom, 3 bathrooms (1 en suite). Wifi. Driveway for parking two cars. Garden with swing, slide & dining area. This is a fantastic family home and would comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults and 4 children.
Our Neighbourhood
Only 5 minutes walk to tube station (Highgate) on the Northern Line direct into central London and the west end (zoom in on the map to see how close we are to the tube station). Historic Highgate village is a ten minutes walk. Highgate Woods, is a few minutes walk away with a fantastics kids playground.
Hampstead Heath, London's largest natural open space and Kenwood House, is approximately 1 mile away. Highgate is also famous for its cemetry where Karl Marx is buried. Highgate is known as one of the best places to live in London, combining a village feel and many green open spaces, only a few miles from the buzz of central London. Highgate is home to many actors and entertainers including George Michael & Sting.
About Us
I am 46 years old and am MD/CEO of a UK software reseller called Softcat (see softcat.com). We employ approximately 300 people. My wife has been a housewife since the birth of our first child Amy twelve years ago. Matthew is ten and is on the autistic spectrum, with moderate learning difficulties.
Rosie our cute little seven year old completes the family. We have a cocker spaniel which is an optional extra with the house!

trés belle maison située dans les quartiers résidentiels au nord de Londres, à proximité du métro(20 mn de Londres), du village de Highgate et du parc de Highgate. La maison est parfaite pour recevoir une famille de 5 personnes(ou plus) pour découvrir Londres. Elle était très bien préparée pour notre arrivée, de plus, il y avait un membre de la famille pour nous accueillir.La maison est très belle et très grande; la salle de jeux avec télévision et accés internet est particulièrement agréable et distrayante pour tous.
Les échangeurs étaient facilement joignables et très sympathiques; ils maitrisent parfaitement la langue française. Ils ont pris soin de notre maison, et de plus ils ont parfaitement pris soin de notre chien et de notre chat.

The home is huge and superb, with full comfort. It perfectly matches the description, with its typical English character. It is ideal for a family with children, and permits being together as well as getting alone when expected (especially for teenagers). Highgate is a very pleasant village, very close to the tube station and a beautiful park. We particularly appreciated the direct and rapid access to the very center of London.
Our home was looked after very carefully, we are grateful for this exchange.

Une grande maison de type Victorienne dans un beau quartier de Londres à 5 min du métro et donc à moins de 30 min du centre ville! La maison est plus jolie que sur les photos! A very nice Victorian house in a really great neighbourhood with the tube 5 minutes from home and 30 minutes to go to downtown! The house is prettier than it looks in the photos !
Des échangeurs soigneux et respectueux de nos affaires. Les quelques bouées qui ont été trouées ont été remplacées largement! A very good exchange with a kind and respectful family who looked after our home very well.
