4,000 square foot, 5 bedroom home located in 1 acre secluded wooded garden along private road in canyon 1 mile from beach 5 minutes from Santa Monica. Former estate of movie star Myrna Loy. Mature sycamore trees shade the home, hand built in 1940
It is surrounded by citrus trees, blackberry vines ,rose bushes and the area wildlife from the nearby mountains. The large brick patio faces a gentle sloping, sunny hillside with stairs and sitting areas and a flat grassy yard. The home sleeps 10 people comfortably and has 6 bathrooms. It has wireless internet throughout most of the house. The home was restored in 1990 and has all modern amenities. It is a relaxed country, family home with modern touches, furnished with antiques.

neighborhood, we are a 5 minute drive to Santa Monica, the beaches and the freeway system that brings you everywhere in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our private road ends in a 50,000 acre state park of mountains and hiking
trails.
Close to Malibu, Venice Beach, Topanga Canyon, Getty Museums. Half hour drive to Hollywood and Studio Theme Parks.
Convenient Village with all necessary amenities 1/2 mile from house.
Beautiful public tennis courts & community pools nearby.
Our coastal area rarely gets above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, even in summer.
About Us
We are an architect/set designer mom and a screenwriter/producer dad with two well behaved teenaged sons, 14 and 16 years old. Having taken our boys on 12 overseas home exchanges, we are a well traveled family interested in the world beyond our shores.
We have two large, affectionate dogs that need only minimal pet care.
We have a fantastic English speaking housekeeper who comes 4 days a week and will help with the pet care.
