Central London flat with its own entrance, and with garden and parking, in quiet, leafy one-way street, just minutes from bus, underground and shops. Sleeps 6.
Two double bedrooms, plus a double sofa bed in the large, open-plan lounge/diner. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Large flat-screen TV, DVD and CD player, and Internet access.
Our Neighbourhood
Situated in South Hampstead, with many local restaurants and shops. Cinema, swimming pool, and a local, excellent theatre just ten minutes' walk away.
Ten minutes away by car, but easy to reach by public transport, is one of London's most beautiful unspoilt open green areas, the famous Hampstead Heath, with beautiful walks and open-air swimming in the ponds.
Central London, Oxford Street for shopping, and the West End theatres and museums are easily reachable by buses and underground just at the end of the street.
About Us
My husband is a retired lecturer from Cambridge University, and I am an Arts Promoter. We have lived in England since 1956, when we left Hungary after the Hungarian Revolution. We are both still working, my husband is a well-known Hungarian poet, and I continue promoting arts events. We have 5 grown-up children between us, and one grandchild.
We travel often to Budapest, Hungary, where we have a little studio flat, which could also be available for an exchange.
