2-bedroom Holiday Cottage
Our Home
A simple, older-style place where we can relax on our deck and watch the boats bob in the bay. Close to beaches. A ferry ride to national park walks. Sail or paddle on Pittwater.
It's booked out until July 2012.
Home in Canberra also available.
Our Neighbourhood
Palm Beach, Sydney’s northernmost beach suburb, is on a peninsula with three surf beaches on one side, each with a nice seawater rock pool. The other side fronts Pittwater, which is great for sailing and paddling. The bus that stops outside will take you in a few minutes to the beach, pool, cafes and shops of Avalon.
A ride into the city takes over 90 minutes by bus, and about 45 minutes by car.
About Us
We like cycling – we have travelled by bike, train etc through Eastern Europe, UK & Ireland. We enjoyed 2 great home swaps in Ireland & 1 in London. In 2012/13 we hope to hop and swap around Europe. We are also open to North American offers.
Gerda’s a bit of a bird watcher. A dodgy ankle now limits our bush walking.
We dinghy sail in summer and cross-country ski in winter. Historical places fascinate us, so we like to poke about old towns, churches, castles, museums etc.
Jeff is a government lawyer. Gerda is a physiotherapist who works with kids.
