Lovely Houseboat In Amsterdam

Beautiful modern wooden houseboat in the south of Amsterdam, close to the city center as well as to the Amsterdam woods and lake with small beach. Four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one additional separate wc. Large (50 m2) sunny rooftop terrace with wooden lounge-sofa, 2 balconies and a small garden. Modern kitchen, livingroom with flatscreen and WII.
The boat has two floors; downstairs there are 3 bedrooms (one of which has doors opening to a small sundeck), one bathroom, a separate toilet, and the fully equipped kitchen (60 m2), with doors opening to the small garden (30 m2) with dining table for dining al fresco during warm summer evenings, or catching some of the fish swimming in the Schinkel river. The second floor has the living room, one bedroom and a bathroom en-suite. The livingroom opens to the lovely rooftop terrace (50 m2, fenced), and the bedroom opens to a small balcony, which is cosy and looks out over the boats going to and fro amsterdam-center.
Our Neighbourhood
We live in a small, kind neighbourhood of houseboats, very close to nature (woods and lake), the famous Vondelpark (less than ten minutes away by bike), and the city centre.
Close to bus and trams stops.
As we live close to the Olympic stadium, there are numerous sports facilities in the neighbourhood: there is a running track and a soccer field just five metres away, and there are tennis courts and sports halls just a minute away.
Amsterdam is a very lively city, with beautiful canals and a very characteristic old centre.
There are great museums, a famous zoo, and lively markets.
Great shopping, culture and nature are all close by.
About Us
We are a university professor and a web designer, and we have two daughters (born in 1997 and 2007) and a son (born in 2003).
We love nature and culture, but we also like places which are off the beaten track.
We are currently looking for exchanges in February or May 2011 (for one week), or in the summer of 2011 (for three to four weeks), and would prefer somewhere sunny, although not too hot!
