Our Home
Our Manhattan apartment is a studio, and we have just finished a gut renovation of it.
Easy walking distance from the subway and the Grand Central railway station.
Our Connecticut home is an hour by train or car from Manhattan.
It is a four bedroom, three bathroom home set in two and a half acres of land, yet only ten minutes from the town of Fairfield, Connecticut.
WE will offer either or both of our homes for exchange.
Our Neighbourhood
The location of our Manhattan studio allows for easy travel by subway, bus or foot around Manhattan.
There are great restaurants, bars and cafés in our area.
Our Connecticut home offers a taste of the beauty of Connecticut, with stone walls, large open areas, horses riding by, yet with close proximity to a town, where there are many good restaurants and shops.
About Us
We are a couple in our 50's with a ten-year-old son.
I am from Australia and have lived here for fifteen years.
My husband, Mark, is a New Yorker. He owns his business, which imports parts for manufacturing companies here in the US.
I used to work in the admissions department of a pre-school in Manhattan, until we moved to Connecticut last year.
We will be visiting my family in Sydney this December, 2011, and would like to stay near Manly Beach, or somewhere close to a ferry stop.
