Our Neighbourhood 
Located in one of the island's main summer resorts, with the main bay only three hundred metres away, and with plenty of restaurants and shops, as well as bus terminal, supermarket and church, nearby.
Xlendi Bay is the mouth of a picturesque glacial era river valley, and a stream still flows through it all the year round.
The valley and the main bay are surrounded by steep cliffs, which were carved by the flowing water.
Just five hundred metres from the main bay, on one side of the valley, there is a very popular disco club, which is open during the summer months.
The island's main town is just two kilometres away (half an hour's walk).
There is a regular bus service.
There are shops, cinemas, and two opera houses (with operas performed from the end of October until mid-November).
There are also regular stage shows.
Band clubs abound all over the island, and regular concerts are held.
The island is very historic: it boast the oldest freestanding man-made building in the world ( - over 5,500 year old, and still standing!).
The citadel (of which a Phoenician wall was recently found under the cathedral) sits on top of Victoria, the main town, and watchtowers, built by the Knights of St. John, adorn most bays.
There is a regular ferry service to the main island, with a ferry every forty-five minutes.
The airport is only seventeen kilometres away, on the main island.
About Us
My daughter, a quiet, serious twenty-five-year-old, will be reading for a degree at London University this September, and we are hoping to find exchange accommodation for her.
