Sailing

When you live in Sydney, the harbour is ever-present. You see it from the office, from your house, from the bus. You cross by ferry on your way to work. Sydney is defined by the ocean.

And they make the most of it. Ten minutes from the city is Rushcutter Bay, home to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA). These are the guys and girls who organise the Sydney-Hobart yacht race every year – you may have heard of it.

All our sailing courses are linked to a yacht club, which means you get to join in with their regattas as well as improving your sailing. And once you’re into the club, that’s it – you’re hooked. You’ll soon be sailing the ever-popular evening regattas (they’re always casting around for crew), followed by the mandatory beers and barbie.
