The chalet is in a quiet location above the village of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, just below La Clusaz.

The small town of Thônes, where there are a couple of larger supermarkets, is ten minutes' drive away.

Annecy and its stunning lake are forty minutes' drive away.

Our Neighbourhood Skiing

La Clusaz is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and is very pretty, retaining its old village charm.

New lift systems ensure easy transportation to the peaks. There are five mountains in the resort, suitable for all levels of skiers, and also some great off-piste slopes.

In addition there is swimming, ice-skating, ski de fond, racquetting and lots of lovely restaurants and shops, plus good ski schools and plenty of ski and equipment hire.

The resort of Grand-Bornand is ten minutes away and offers more great skiing.

Chamonix, Megève, Morzine and Les Portes du Soleil are all within an hour.

La Clusaz is renowned for the quality of its mountain restaurants and the friendliness of its locals.

Geneva Airport is only an hour away.

About Us

We are both keen skiers, and also enjoy time in the mountains in the summer.

This is our 'maison secondaire' - second home, and thus it is fully equipped and very comfortable.

More about us

Rather than spend the winter of 2015/16 in France, we would like to visit relatives in Sydney, so we are looking for a swap somewhere near Avalon/Pittwater.
