Sweet Bungalow In Beautiful Portland, Oregon
Our little bungalow oasis in beautiful Portland! We love our home and are excited to share it with you.
One of our favourite things is lounging in the back yard under string lights, sipping wine and enjoying a cosy bonfire.
We have a lovely vegetable and flower garden as well as fruit trees, and you are welcome to help yourself to all they offer.
We have done significant remodelling since moving into the house, and love the new open feel of the kitchen and living area. If it's a cold night, there's nothing better that sitting in front of the fireplace with hot cocoa!
There is one queen bedroom on the main floor as well as the toddler room, and another queen bedroom upstairs.
Portland is an incredible hub of culture and culinary amazingness. You'll love the creative local restaurants, shops, community events and festivals.
It's also a great place to ride a bike, and we have several bikes that home exchangers are welcome to borrow.
We live in Northeast Portland, in an area that is becoming known as a new international area, with fantastic restaurants representing many delicious cuisines.
We are fifteen to twenty minutes' walk from three great parks, and well as five minutes' walk from the MAX (the Metropolitan Area Express, Portland's main public transportation, a light rail system) which takes you all over the city, hassle free.
We are in a bike-able area, with neighbourhood "greenways" as well as a dedicated bike path that loops the city, called the Springwater Corridor Trail.
Our neighbours are fantastic, a mix of people in all stages of life, including many families with children.
We're a couple of blocks outside Montavilla, named one of "ten of the world's coolest neighbourhoods to visit right now" by Lonely Planet. Come check it out!
Portland is a fantastic home base for exploring the Pacific Northwest. We are half an hour from many hikes in the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood, there are tons of river sports to participate in, and you can take a day trip to the coast to experience even more natural beauty!
We are a couple (Ruben and Katrina) with a toddler (Zion).
We enjoy visiting new places, eating great food, hiking, cycling, and being in nature!
